Plaster and acrylic paint on canvas.
This work was completely spontaneous. I've recently lost someone very dear. One thing the picture doesn't quite convey is the texture. The nose, brow, and ear are not part of the canvas and are made of plaster. They are all molded and come out of the painting. It was quite fun to create, actually. If you click, you can see the texture of the plaster a little more clearly. |
